Subject: A Note on Making Friends on the Cruise...from Helen C.
Author: Daryle Prager
Date: 12/5/2006
Body:
I needed a roommate for the painting cruise and you "magically" worked it all out.  I spoke to my prospective partner for the cruise on the phone and we decided to make it work.  Well, it did and it worked out beautifully.  We not only had a wonderful time together and with all the others in the art group, but we are still great friends.  I've been told that you never know when you'll meet a friend for life.  This was true in this case. Pat, my roommate, from CA, came out to stay with me for over a week a few months after the cruise and both of us enjoyed it.  I felt like a tourist in my own town going to places to paint and just to sit and enjoy and look at it through "artists' eyes."

I just got back from a visit with her in the San Diego area and we thoroughly enjoyed it.  She took me to all the wonderful sites of the area and we painted and I took pictures for future painting.  We talk on the phone now and then and on the computer.  It spurs us on to paint.

This would never have happened if it hadn't been for the chance thing of reading about the painting cruise with Prager Travel in one of the art magazines.  Every one of us enjoyed each other and the cruise, thanks to Daryle and Dick.
